El pluscuamperfecto del subjuntivo.

¿Qué es el pluscuamperfecto del subjuntivo?
What is the past perfect subjunctive?
Es una forma que usamos para hablar de situaciones irreales o hipotéticas en el pasado.
It’s a form we use to talk about unreal or hypothetical situations in the past.
¿Cómo se forma?
How is it formed?
hubiera + participio pasado
hubiera + past participle
(yo hubiera, vos / tú hubieras, él/ella/usted hubiera, nosotros hubiéramos, vosotros hubierais, ustedes/ellos hubieran)
✨ Si ya conocés el pretérito perfecto (he comido) o el pluscuamperfecto (había comido), ya conocés el participio pasado. Ahora solo tenés que usar “haber” en subjuntivo pasado.
✨ If you already know the present perfect (he comido) or the past perfect (había comido), you already know the past participle. Now just use “haber” in the past subjunctive.
Ejemplos:

Ojalá no hubiera visto un fantasma.
I wish I hadn’t seen a ghost.
Si hubiera visto un fantasma, me hubiera asustado mucho.
If I had seen a ghost, I would’ve been really scared.
Estas frases no describen hechos reales.
These sentences don’t describe real events.
Son expresiones de deseos, situaciones irreales en el pasado o hipótesis en el pasado.
They express wishes, unreal past situations, or past hypotheticals.
