Women’s Day at the Usina theatre.
On Sunday March 8th there will be a special program with free activities starring women: live shows, workshops, cooking classes, talks, shows, visual samples, an entrepreneurial fair and a large gastronomic patio.

It will pay tribute to all women on March 8th, when International Women’s Day is celebrated. The appointment will be from 11 am to 9 pm, with a program exclusively integrated by female artists, also designed for boys and girls.

The closing will be with a great show by Mimí Maura in the Auditorium, and an intimate concert and interview with Paula Maffia, by the journalist Corina González Tejedor.

In addition, our gastronomic curator Juliana López May with Julieta Oriolo and Anita Ontuño will make special recipes that are shared from generation to generation.

You can visit the Women’s Power in focus exhibition, a selection of more than 60 photographs from the National Geographic archive in which situations of women around the world are addressed, and the documentary The Cave, directed by Feras Fayyad and will also be screened Produced by National Geographic.

There will be a great entrepreneur fair with illustrations, objects, books and designs by talented women artists and a special guided tour of the Usina building can be made, in which the moments that transformed the history of women in our country will be reviewed .

For the first childhood, “iUpiiiii” (Yeeeey) will be open, the first exclusive cultural space for babies from 0 to 3 years old in the City and girls and boys from 4 to 7 years old will be able to enjoy “Nube” (Cloud), a large recreational facility arranged on a large sky to hammock, Climb, jump and bounce.

In addition, “Parablablas” will make a tribute show to María Elena Walsh in a free adaptation for her best songs and there will be workshops for all ages and the Libroteca will be open, our space to relax and read as a family.

iUpiiiii – Early Childhood Plant: from 11 am to 6 pm in the iUpiiiii Room.
The first exclusive cultural space for early childhood in the City. For girls and boys from 0 to 3 years old. Shifts every hour. The last shift is at 6:00 p.m.

Cloud: from 11 am to 7 pm in the Main Hall.
Playful installation for girls and boys from 4 to 7 years old. 30 minute shifts

Library: from 11 am to 7 pm in the Creative Space.
A space to relax and read. For girls and boys from 0 to 12 years old.

Entrepreneurs Fair: from 1 pm to 9:30 pm at the Foyer.
Illustration, design, accessories, objects, books and more.

Gastronomic Patio: from 11 am to 9 pm in the Central Patio.
Stalls and foodtrucks to enjoy the celebration of women’s day: Café Martínez, Moors on the coast, Purificare (juice bar), Guilab (ice cream).

Women protagonists: portrait workshop with cloth: from 2 pm to 7 pm in the Foyer.
On Women’s Day we wait for you at the Usina to create a fabric portrait of an outstanding woman. It can belong to the public or private sphere. That portrait will be added to a gallery of outstanding women who will be exhibited during that day. For girls and boys from 4 to 7 years old.

The Cave of National Geographic: at 3 pm in the Chamber Hall.
The documentary, directed by Syrian Feras Fayyad, tells the story of a group of female doctors fighting daily bombers, chronic supplies shortages and the threat of chemical attacks at an underground hospital called “The Cave” in a devastated Syria for the war.

Parablablas with María Elena’s pen: from 3:30 pm in the Central Courtyard.
Free adaptation on texts of the work of María Elena Walsh. We travel through his work through theatrical and musical language experiencing humor, fantasy and nonsense. For girls and boys from 4 to 7 years.

Screen Printing Station: from 4 pm to 8 pm in the Central Patio.
