As every year this last Saturday (26th April) took place the race of waiters and waitresses in Buenos Aires along Av. de Mayo (from Bernardo de Yrigoyen st. until Plaza de Mayo) with the participation of waiters and waitresses of almost all the provinces of Argentina.
Waiters and waitresses (organized in categories) ran while carrying a tray with 2 bottles and a glass full of water.
This tradition started in La Boca neighbourhood in 1908 when 7 waiters decided to organize a race to know which one was the fastest.
